The Inquisitors |
|
This script has been handed down from mother to mother, out of a time long past, a time of myth and legend when ancient Gods ruled the land. But it is not of them I speak, but of the younger Clans. During this time, as now there is one rule all must obey 'Don't mention the Spanish Inquisition'.
This is the history of Clan Spanish Inquisition. We are the clan that always seems to be present at their homegrounds at the wrong moment. Read through this report on Orcs, Young clans, Migrational problems, Syndicates, Alliances, Victory, Defeat and, again, migrational problem.
Clan Inquisition was founded in the first era by Duke Alva, the Chairman of the High council. The faction was first sighted in a crowded area amidst youngling clans such as Warder, Amphibious, Bac Ho, Dragoon and Osiris. Warder and Amphibious were fighting a heated war, clan Socrates was crowding the place along with Jp5-9 and Biomass was plain short.
Alva ordered his Council members to find a solution. One was found in an alliance. Six others clans accepted the Inquisition as an ally, among them were such names as Osiris and Dragoon. The Celtic Knot was formed as a defensive alliance. A second solution was found in migration. Ally Rude69 (who later revised it's name under diplomatic pressure) reported a large biomass field due northwest, and a convoy was created.
It
was around this time that a young clan mentioned two clans of roughly the same
age occupying the same hill on the sphere and sliding the same time. The names
of these clans were Dwarfs and Orcist. Inquisition migrated on.
An Inquisitonal mover saw a scout of Michelle the Beardless (clan Harlequin) getting shot. After the computers of the mover tracked the origin of the assault, the identification Dwarfs appeared, the same clan Michelle reported as sitting on a hill. Duke Alva did not hesitate and opened fire on the Dwarven fighters.
Duke Alva was never known for his sense of tact. Neither Strategically nor socially. The war declaration, under the verdicts of Multiplicity, Annoyance and Silence, against clan Dwarfs resulted in the division of his clan in two pieces. Along with Myopia, Inquisitional forces fought the Orcs in the north, where a second front against the Dwarfs kept the eastern Inquisitional forces busy. There was damage, there was frustration, there was silence in the weekends.
Alva
realised that his clan would never have survived were it not for the help of
Myopia. There would never have been victory had not the forces of clan Harlequin
appeared in time. Inquisition war efforts were below normal: there was no all
out battlegroup and there was a lot of sliding.
The Orcs were defeated, the clan self-destructed and reappeared southeast of the Inquisitonal homegrounds. Alva officially made peace with Orcist, and apologised for the destruction of his clan on warcry.
This would have been the end of a war that would have been remembered in history through the location marking of 'Mt. Orcist'. It was not. The Obsidian Order had decided to come the orcs' defense, albeit too late. A task force of Clan Young Stan appeared on the horizon and started firing around. One of their salvos hit the central command of clan Inquisition (which was cleverly disguised as a titan at that time, for the Inquisition did not have a clan hall). A spark of nano hit the Duke and started eating away at his brain.
The now mad Duke ordered plotting, war and destruction. The Duke was beyond evil.
Scheming against the Obsidian Order he declared war on Young Stan - along with Harlequin and Myopia, who later did most of the fighting - and started rallying clans against the Order. Alva dreamed of victory and of the downfall of the fake gods. Alva ordered his disciples to follow Gout-Leg as the only true God (how right he was...). After this Alva needed his attention elsewere and again there was a lot of sliding. Again Inquisition's efforts were limited.
|
He then ordered his chairtitan to be placed on mount Orcist, from where it could clearly see Harlquin's and Myopia's forces blast the last Young Stan titan into oblivion. He saw a pink flag being raised. He then saw it catch fire as the heated blast of the asteroid reached the area. Clan Inquisition would have been wiped out, had not the Spanish Cardinal Fang built a slide pod containing a new mother. |
Fang looked back on Alva's reign and concluded that despite numerous efforts, clan Inquisition had never left it's homeground.
Surveyors again looked around from a mother. Again there was less prosperity they had hoped for. Was it a crowded plain that was the trouble at first, now emptiness till the horizon. The region was named Horsehoe mountain range (around 10,110), and scouts set out. Scouts went west and north.
There
was no biomass. Wolf Clan to the west denied Fang a patch of biomass after firing,
shooting the Inquisitonal breeders, which forced Fang to be more careful on
where to go: all other patches of green were taken. After the fae destroyed
the Inquisitional mother the Council members set out again. Again diplomacy
found a solution, this time through loyal allies Kindred and Ortis. As it turned
out, Fang and Leo of Ortis were the only clans with full permission from Malkav
(Clan Kindred) to harvest. Crocodile had no such permission.
Wolf Clan had cleared out to the west, and the biomass over there again was accessible. Again there was harvesting at the southern end of the horseshoe mountain. This time, however, clan Deathslayers took position on nearby mountains, and opened fire.
At this time the Inquisition was invited to join the mighty Shadow Syndicate alliance - again to be joined with Dragoon and Osiris. At the time there were messages of Lowes and F.I.S.T. attacking clan Canadian World Domination.
Dragoon and Kindred warred with the Alliance that had formed south of the Horseshoe mountain. Deathslayers, Wolf clan and two others had allied and blocked the route south to Orange biomass and the main force of the Shadow Syndicate.
There
was a ceasefire with Deathslayers. While Kindred was attacking The ACT (which
was the official name of the Deathslayer alliance), Fang was meeting with the
leader of the Deathslayers, but when he saw there was no stable way of migration
south through ACT territory, Fang ordered his troop to entrench in the mountains
and to set up artillery position. When the cease-fire ended, fang took the Deathslayers
completely by surprise, as Deathslayers was fighting a civil war against Arab
Legion at that moment.
Meanwhile, Kindred had been at war with Crocodile and Crimson Breath, who both were members of the powerful Keewaydin alliance. There were diplomatic tensions and misunderstandings, and at the time the first forces were ready for their move south, diplomacy broke down and war between the Shadow Syndicate and the Keewaydin Alliance broke out.
Kindred had found the new position of Canadian World Domination, who had to selfdestruct her clan after Lowes' assault, an apology was accepted and CWD secretly joined the Syndicate.
Production was switched from breeders to fighters. When the first Inquisitional troops arrived, CWD made a surprise assault.
|
There was a traitor. The traitor was to be punished, but the verdict was not unanimous among the members, and a schism was the result. The Inquisitional forces once again retreated to the Malkavian plain, tried to reach orange biomass via different routes, as Fang helplessly watched friendly clan Halls perish. Isolated from his allies, clan Inquisition made peace with the Keewaydin Alliance. Two seasons had gone by and Fang had still failed to reach Orange biomass. |
Surrounded by the likes of Random, Dark Swords, Zombie Nation, Knighthood, Khorne, Sparhawk the Pandomium and Beer Monster. Only after shooting each one of these clans did the road clear up enough for the command center to migrate.
Fang pushed the button that would started the transgate transition. After passing out and regaining conciousness he saw orange fields as far as the eyes and scanner could see.
The first Inquisitional leader to reach orange biomass, the old Fang ordered the construction of a personal titan, desiring his old days to be spent in battle. A new leader would be found.
