Lupe's Mountain

'Tis a fine tale, dating from the days after the rock hit and the old gods died in fire and flame. Lupe fought hard and well and survived for many turns while older less wise foes perished. Still enough from this reporter (who survived the rock by the grace of God), let another clan tell the tale...

Clan MarkLupe and the other 5 generation 1 fighting companions moved southeast with the breeders of the clan. They were a new clan, and around 10 days old, they were all trying to get to orange as fast as they could, and Lupe and his contingent were there for protection.

Word came of a disgruntled clan who would fire on any Clan Halls that he would see. That clan, Twilights Bloom, was marked from that day on until all Halls were safe from him. Twilights had some fighters in the area, and Lupe and his Companions were sent to "deal" with him. They would fire on the fighters and hopefully they would attract the rest of his fighters, keeping those fighters away from other clans Halls.

Clan KindredIn the midst of the attack Lupe recieved word that some of his clan brothers were being destroyed. Now having clan brothers destroyed is never a good sign, but this is the battlesphere, so he brushed it off. Then a day later communications received word from the offending clan, who tried to make an excuse for his actions instead of fessing up to them. This clan not only tried to make excuses, but he made lies and false accusations about the titans, trying to cover up his own ...errr... better not say it... anyway... The offending clan was Kindred, and from that day on, all Kindred titans were marked for destruction. The skirmish with Twilights Bloom ended, the Halls were safe again, and Lupe and his companions began to make their way Northwest, back the way they came, trying to get to the location of the death of their clan brothers.

But it was a dark day, for one of Lupe's friends had suffered severe wounds, he could still move 1 hex a day, or fire 2 salvos at offending titans, but no recovery would be possible, so that titan was sacrificed. The rest of the companions moved on. 5 now, Lupe and 4 friends. Day after day they trod on, trying to reach their destination as fast as they could. They passed a clan in need of help, Canadian World Domination. She was fighting an ally of Kindred, and thus, had to be a good, kind clan. She requested aid against Spanish Inquisition, and since Inquisition had been taking a few shots at Clan Mark breeders, Lupe told his lupes black and canadians are purple stripescomrades to continue on without him for now, he would go support Canadian World Domination, and he would catch up later. Lupe ran to the top of a mountain and sat there, merely looking mean, and giving Inquisition dirty looks (and a few shots).

The other 4 companions kept travelling on, and soon they came to a batch of Kindred titans. Joyful, glee, they were able to shoot their enemy! So they fired away, and the next day woke up to view the results of their shots. All Kindred titans were gone, not just the ones they fired on, but every single one they could see. Kindred had destructed his titans for some unknown reason... again, the intelligence of this clan was being called into question, so the fighters trod on again, trying to find more Kindred titans. It was the next day when an Ortis titan appeared and was in range of one of Mark's titans. The titans traded blows, and the Mark titan did severe damage, the next day, Ortis destructed the titan and the Mark titan did repairs. His brothers caught up, and they received word of a group of Kindred and Ortis titans on the mountian looming ahead of them, so they valiantly charged ahead. What met them was a gruesome fate. They moved one day under fire and still could not see their enemies, they moved a second day under fire, but now they could see what they were up against. It would have been a fair fight, on a field, in the open, and all systems ready to go, but the Mark titans had been under fire for two days now, and Kindred and Ortis had not been under fire at all. Kindred and Ortis had the added range from the mountain, and the protection from the moutain, the Mark titans died, but not before taking a lonely Kindred titan with them.

Lupe heard of this savage destruction from the mother communications department. The lone warrior left from mother, he began to consider suicide. But not a day later an advanced Kindred fighter appeared in scan range, but out of fire range. Lupe layed down fire, hoping to catch the fighter running through a hex, but the Kindred fighter had seen the large gen 14 breeders that Mark was trying to hide behind one of his friends. Kindred moved right to them. Kindred also brought in 2 more advanced titans that Lupe couldn't see, but Lupe nailed both of them his layer of salvos he layed down for cover. The two Kindred attacksgen 14 Mark breeders were sacrificed, and Kindred turned his three advanced titans, but Lupe stood his ground and kept firing. He destroyed one fighter, and was under fire himself, but he kept firing, he destroyed a second fighter, and kept firing. The third fighter had now been severly injured and it went on a last ditch effort to.... move across a mountain?... ok, three acts of ... err... below average intelligence... have been made by this clan. But Lupe continued to fire, and continued to do damage until finally the third fighter was unable to repair, fire or shield itself, and Kindred destroyed him.

Lupe stood on his mountain where he made his valiant stand, and proclaimed to the world that he was KING!! And then realized he was bleeding, one of his weapon chambers had been shot off in the first days of the battle by a Kindred titan, the only injury Lupe suffered in the battle. Lupe quickly repaired himself and awaited ascension to the heavens. But Mark saw Lupe's heroic act, and pleaded to God to leave a mark on the sphere in remembrance of Lupe. Lupe had destroyed three technologically advanced Kindred fighters, all by himself, with minor injuries. God smiled and layed the mark on the sphere, and Mark was happy... until he saw God must have been drinking it up with his buddies that night because the mark was off target. No clan Mark titans could see it, but word came from Candian World Domination that the mark was left on the wrong mountain. Lupe furiously threatened to kill God for this act of injustice, and demanded a replacement, but God refused and just laughed. So now Lupe stands on his mountain, awaiting justice and a replacement of the mark, and there he will stand (as long as no one shoots him, Kindred promised not to) until the end of time. Making his own mark on the mountain, giving everyone dirty looks, especially God.

In the days before the sphere was destroyed in the first epoch, a very intelligent clan took it upon themselves not to let their mother be destroyed for points, but to eject their mother into outerspace, and have her orbit the sphere and relay communications. When she sighted the meteor advancing on the sphere, she fired a single missile at it, trying to destroy it, and she saw other missiles advancing to it, but she knew it wasn't enough. She awaited the re-birth of the sphere, where she could plant a new clan, and they would be some of the first to populate the sphere, and she named Lupe in honor of her previous clan. Lupe is now the oldest titan in Clan Mark and may even be the oldest titan on the sphere at this point.

***GOD HERE***

GOD does indeed spend the odd evening drinking with Thor and pals. Possibly the label missed, but it was a long distance throw, and Marks discomfort was amusing. We demanded an offering of a dispatch before the correct mountain was named. And so Mark has at last done the deed, the label shall be correctly attributed. However, the dispatch was not as worshipful as we would wish - so one and all I invite you to smite Lupe even until his death! Haaa haaa haaa.

Crikey, not often that God comments. I'd say God help Lupe but in this case he won't thats for sure.
