How strong is a clan? Rant #1 went on about the overuse of the word honourable, but really it was a criticism of the Wet Blankets constantly complaining about being in an unfair situation. So how do you judge if you're in a fair battle? Clan tourney score?... no, that's more an indication of clan activity as is the historic score. Clan age?... this is what I've used in the past but how can a clan in an all consuming war be expected to advance as quickly as a hippy peaceful clan, especially if the enemy is blocking the path to orange. Also it doesn't take into account stupidity. What we need is an indication of Clan Might, and here's how I suggest it works: A titan's might is worked out as follows: No.Comp * CompTech + No.Shld * ShldTech + No.Weap * WeapTech + No.Eng * EngTech + No.Spwn * Avg(CompTech + ShldTech + WeapTech + EngTech) Material tech doesn't feature as it has a huge influence on the number of components. No tech should be weighted as superior to another, they all have their uses it's up to the clan to decide their distribution. Maybe damaged components should not count towards Titan Might. Clan Might is simply the total of Titan Might. So how do we use this powerful number?... basically we don't. God does, to rank clans on the Might table at the end of each tourney. No numbers are listed on the table, simply the order of the clans top to bottom. It is not updated daily. Numbers should not be shown, as it's important that you don't know what your enemy has in store for you around the corner. Fortnightly updates would further muddy the waters, you shouldn't know how badly yesterday's assault hurt your foe. You won't be able to easily determine whether your enemy is going backwards or just not advancing as quickly as you. The table could become messy with the huge number of clans, so maybe split them into divisions Green <25000 (before doomsday I was 20855), Orange >25000, < ?....etc. Maybe initially split green up into: Snot, Jade and Emerald (yes I know snot is pathetic, but I couldn't think of a third one) Bac Ho ===GOD says==== What a fantastic idea, I'll implement it immediately
