A relative newbie's thoughts on a restart: While some very good Cases Against restarting have been put forward, it has been pointed out that the Cases For are enthusiastic but weak. My Clan is very young in the whole scheme of things. I have just managed to attain a level of technology that at least enables me to now defend against piecemeal attacks by some of the more established clans. I have also managed to garner some friends and allies to help me deal with two clans who have become my opponents on the 'sphere. This is as it should be. It has taken A LOT of thought and effort and represents an significant investment of time which is just starting to pay off. So I can understand how upset a much older clan would be at the prospect of 15 times as much investment becoming null and void. But will it? You have gathered much in the way of experience, tactics, designs and allies. You will also have the opportunity to restart in a world that has better laws and geography/design if you are willing to make your ideas known to God. I for one have been very loud in my prayers to God for a more equitable scoring system and God has answered. As with most answers to prayers, they have not been exactly as I would want, but at least the situation is being addressed and my Titans can sleep happily at night with dreams of fighting in a fair world. My next challenge will be to see if God will consider making a world where the different colours of biomass grow concentrically: ie a blue bull's eye with radiating circles of purple, orange and then fields of green. These circles could expand each time a certain number of players reach a certain age. This expansion would effectively prevent clans from guarding the borders to the next colour of biomass as these borders would continually move, expanding and possibly even contracting depending on the game's demographics. The other advantage of such a world is that the strongest clans would have to occupy the middle ground instead of sitting safely in one corner of the world with two flanks protected by unpassable nothingness. Thus creating a two dimensional 'King of the Hill'. These are the musings of a newbie, perhaps some of the older clans could provide insights on the construction of a better world should it come to pass that we will inhabit it. For if we do move to a new 'sphere and we don't like it, we will only have ourselves to blame. 8^) Myopia ====God welcomes such a discussion==== on bio-mass and the location of the newbies within the world.
