The second Bulimic/Gout-Leg war

Clan Bulimic and Clan Gout-Leg have clashed once before. Gout-Leg had sent an elderly and out of date scout force to probe the south of Bulimic territory. Unfortunately, Bulimic had a large blocking force waiting and they annihilated every one of the scouts.

This is the rematch, we enter a few goes into the fray, both clans are bringing their forces to bear. The sequence of map sections below were from five consecutive turns, both clans are about thirty turns old, old enough that they are squandering technologically old units in the hope that some of them gain experience.

Clan Bulimic is shown in pink while Gout-Leg is black. The maps are from clan Gout-Leg, which means his view of Bulimic territories is limited.

We enter with Gout-Leg having the upper hand, Bulimic has had to self destruct its most eastern unit to stop Gout-Leg gaining additional experience against his badly damaged unit.

Gout-Leg is maneuvering another unit into the line up, simply bringing more guns to bear.

Bulimic is also moving forces closer to the front line while laying down a curtain of covering fire in case Gout-Leg advances.

The next turn reveals that Bulimic has been advancing forces from the south! Three new healthy Titans speed into the map.

The fire fight continues between the two battle groups, no doubt both are suffering damage from the exchange.

Gout-Leg hastily sends his eastern Titan to scout further to the east and also to try to detain these forces.

The top north east of the map shows the movement trail of more Gout-Leg forces. Gout-Leg is spreading his fire between all of the enemy units while Clan Bulimic concentrates his fire.

Clan Bulimic is also finalising his line of Titans, moving to form a solid wall of death.

If Gout-Leg can't get more forces into the battle soon it will not go his way.

The Gout-Leg reinforcements are revealed, but are they too little too late?

Another southern clan enters the map, a single scout moving swiftly north. Things could get complicated!

Meanwhile the fire fight continues. Gout-Leg looks to be withdrawing one of his Titans, the concentrated fire of previous turns obviously damaged him badly. Bulimic may be doing the same as a Titan withdraws from his line.

Horribly for Gout-Leg two more of Bulimic's Titans can be seen just entering the map - to the north west and the south.

I'd guess the writing is on the wall here, Bulimic's fire wall is still pretty in tact with more foces joining the fight while Gout-Leg's forces are all over the place.

That new clan is clan Puddens, there are three of them now, can they be enticed to fight....

Three Titans all self detruct themselves! Both Bulimic and Gout-Leg are removing severly damanged Titans from the map - ensuring the enemy can't score points and gain experience by finishing them off.

Gout-Leg is crawling the rest of his battle weary forces away from the fight. He can't move faster because he must maintain his shielding otherwise the incoming fire from Bulimic would inflict fatal damage. The three retreating Titans presumably have high experience levels and are thus worth saving.

Clan Pudden obviously saw the action, thought it was too much and ran away!

This map has moved a little north to track the action. Gout-Leg is still retreating while Bulimic has massive reinforcements rolling in from the south. It really doesn't look good for Gout-Leg, can he manage to preserve his three Titans, or are they doomed?

We shall leave this for now. Lets not forget that at the same time Gout-Leg and Bulimic were both breeding behind their front lines and they were both fighting on another front at the same time.
